Our school had been selected for the establishment of the Atal Tinkering Lab by the Atal Innovation Mission of the NITI Aayog, government of India by a tough selection procedure. We have been successfully running the lab since its establishment in the year 2018. The lab was inaugurated by the then deputy speaker Shri Raghunath Singh Chauhan,district magistrate Almora Shri Nitin Singh Bhadauria and CDO Shri Mayur Dikshit ,design engineer Shri Sanjay Upreti ( USA). and environmentalist Prof. J. S. Rawat. The lab is equipped with the state of the art equipments and machines like 3 d printer, desktop cutting system,3d pen ,high resolution telescopes and many more. It is also equipped with all the drilling , soldering and cutting tools. Around 45 schools of Almora and Nainital district have visited the lab. Our ATL has been selected as Star ATL of India by the NITI Aayog and has also been selected 8 times the ATL of the month by the Atal Innovation Mission of the Govt. of India under the guidance of ATL incharge Dr. Kapil Nayal.The various programmes which are organised time to time are ATL mentoring sessions, ATL community Day, Expert Lectures, workshops and seminars. Our students have prepared the models as drone, robots, smart dustbin, home automation, blind stick, smart home, pollution controller and various other models.The distinguished guests who have visited the lab include Shri Raj Bhatt( UK), Sr. engineer Shri Manoj Bisht ( USA),Prof. Rakesh Joshi ( Australia),district magistrate Almora Shri Alok Kumar Pandey,Vice chancellor Prof J.S Bisht,vice chancellor Prof. N.S.
